Complete Bathroom Renovations

Complete bathroom renovations in Basildon.

A complete bathroom refit in Basildon can change more than the look of the room. Whether you want to keep a bath, make more room for a shower or improve storage, talk to us about replacing the bathroom with those everyday needs in mind.

Your Renovation

Make everyday use part of the design.

A bathroom should be easy to move around as well as pleasant to look at. Our bathroom fitters can discuss the full renovation, including the new suite, pipework, surface preparation and finishing. That conversation can cover a retained layout just as readily as a new one.

Decide which frustrations are worth addressing while the room is being refitted. A screen that blocks the basin, drawers that cannot open fully or nowhere to put towels may matter more to daily use than choosing a larger bath.

Work out what should go where

Sketch the bath, basin, WC and shower with their usable space around them. Moving a fitting can improve access, but it also changes the connections; a new WC location needs a suitable waste route. Keeping positions is worth considering if the arrangement already works.

Choose how you want to bathe and shower

Replacing a bath with a shower is one option, not a requirement for a full refit. A walk-in screen and a hinged enclosure occupy the room differently. Level access involves the floor, drainage and waterproofing rather than simply removing a shower door. The chosen shower also needs to suit the hot water and supply.

Bring storage and finishes into the refit

Check vanity drawers against nearby fittings and leave space to reach towels. Consider the floor and wall finish as part of the overall replacement, including any preparation underneath. The Essex bathroom photographs here offer examples of finished work, while the choices for your room remain yours.

Planning Your Bathroom

Which parts of the bathroom need to change?

Give Connor a picture of how you use the bathroom now and what you would like from the refit. Add your Basildon postcode, rough dimensions and photos. Mention whether keeping a bath is important, and any access difficulties or installation problems you already know about.

  • The changes that would make the biggest difference to daily use.
  • Any fittings you have chosen or want to retain.
  • A rough layout showing doors, windows and the existing suite.

We could not recommend Connor and Plumbers.ESX more. His work is of a very high standard, he is very knowledgeable and helpful. We added extra bits along the way but nothing was too much trouble. We are delighted with our new bathroom, Connor works efficiently and is a very tidy worker. Excellent service all round.

Connor came out to refit some of our bathroom including a new shower and taps. He identified the source of our leak straight away and also fixed our toilet while he was here. He was lovely and friendly and left the place tidy. I can't recommend him enough.

Thank you to Connor for responding and resolving the issues quickly in my home with outstanding professionalism. He changed our bathroom tap, identified a leak which he immediately fixed and corrected some pipes leading to the shower. Everything was left tidy. I would highly recommend him for any plumbing needs.

Questions

Planning a bathroom in Basildon.

Must a complete refit include a new layout?

No. Replacing the suite, shower and finishes can make a substantial change while leaving fixtures in their existing positions. Relocation is worth discussing when the arrangement itself is causing problems.

Is a walk-in shower always a level-access shower?

No. A walk-in opening describes access around the screen; the shower may still have a tray or step. A level-access design depends on whether the floor and drainage can accommodate it.
