Air Source Heat Pumps
We design and install air source heat pump systems for Essex homes, properly sized, correctly specified and suited to the way you actually use your home. Comfort, efficiency and long-term reliability, not one-size-fits-all.
The Work
A heat pump is only as good as its design. Get the sizing, emitters and controls right and it will efficiently heat your home for the next 20 years.
What's Included
01
Heat loss assessment, hot water demand and emitter sizing. We tell you what's realistic before we quote.
02
Oversized pumps short-cycle and cost more to run. We size to the actual building, not a generic rule of thumb.
03
Unit position, bracketry and pipework planned for sound, airflow and aesthetics, not bolted to the most convenient wall.
04
Controls that follow outdoor temperature so the system runs at the lowest viable flow, efficient and comfortable.
05
MCS-aligned installation keeps you eligible for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme where applicable.
06
Annual service, remote support, and someone who picks up the phone. We're local, we're not going anywhere.

Our Process
01
On-site assessment of fabric, emitters, hot water needs and electrical capacity.
02
Sized system, emitter schedule, cylinder choice, controls strategy and a fully itemised quote.
03
Outdoor unit, cylinder, controls, pipework and any emitter upgrades, typically 3–7 days on site.
04
Flow temperatures, weather compensation curve and zone balancing tuned to the building.
05
User walkthrough, paperwork, MCS certificate where applicable, and an annual service plan.
Common Questions
Most homes can be made suitable, but the answer depends on insulation, radiator sizes, hot water demand and how you use the building. We tell you honestly after a survey, not before.
Yes, we work to MCS and industry standards on every install, so you stay eligible for grant schemes like the Boiler Upgrade Scheme where applicable.
Sometimes, sometimes not. Heat pumps run at a lower flow temperature, so we calculate emitter sizes room by room. Plenty of homes keep most of their existing rads.
Modern units like Ecodan run at very low volumes, usually quieter than a fridge at the property boundary. Siting and bracket choice matter; we plan both.
Typical retrofit installs are 3–7 days on site, plus a commissioning visit. New builds run alongside the rest of the build programme.

I couldn't be happier with the service I received. Four new radiators installed at a great price, and the entire job completed in just one day. Everything was left clean and tidy and all the radiators were working perfectly before they left. Excellent value for money and clearly takes pride in their work.
